d-LAB is a programme of Mobile World Capital Barcelona that answers societal challenges with considerable scale and relevance. We do this by launching Calls for Proposals and leading transformational pilot projects through collaborative public-private partnerships.

Your proposal will go through three rounds of evaluation and winner(s) will be selected by our international Advisory Committee.


Results

Winners will be announced during a public event. Winning proposal(s) will start implementation immediately.

Proofup: Early detection and conflict prevention

Proofup provides tools and support to children, parents and teachers in the prevention, detection and management of cyberbullying. It allows minors to record any hint of online harassment (images, videos, messages).

SafeToNet: Safeguarding children online

SafeToNet uses artificial intelligence to automatically identify and block harmful messages & content before it is sent and the damage is done. The goal is to run a 6-month pilot to test and implement this solution in the Spanish & Catalan markets.

Saluscoop: Citizen Cooperative of Health Data

This project leverages technology, regulation and collective participation to create a system that enables patients to get hold of their health data and make decisions regarding the how and to whom that data can be shared with.

MJN: epilepsy seizure prediction

MJN joined forces with d-LAB to validate the SERAS device in a real-life environment during the trial in the Corachan Clinic. The pilot successfully demonstrated the ability of SERAS to record epilepsy seizures and its accuracy to predict the risk of a seizure before it happens.

Wayfindr: standard for audio navigation

This pilot project aims to test Wayfindr Open Standard in order to guide visually impaired people through indoor spaces using audio instructions from their smartphones. It is foreseen to trial it in a retail environment in Barcelona with multiple shops and routes to travel.

Irisbond: let your eyes do the talking

The objective of the project is to integrate Irisbond mobile eye-tracking technology with social networks to analyse and measure its communication potential and impact on patients with disabilities undergoing neurorehabilitation therapy.
