You are at the website www.dlab.tech (hereinafter “the Site”) of d-LAB, a programme of the Fundació Barcelona Mobile World Capital Foundation (hereinafter, “MWCB”) whose aim is to launch societal challenges through Calls for Proposals. MWCB is a public foundation whose mission is to improve people’s lives through the digital transformation of society. You will find us in Barcelona (08018), at Roc Boronat, 117, 3rd floor, and we inform you that we are duly registered in the Registry of Foundations of the Generalitat de Catalunya with the number 2.717 and that our VAT is G-65760431.

We inform you that Barcelona Mobile Ventures, S.L. is a limited liability corporation wholly owned by MWCB whose purpose is to promote and disseminate activities related to innovation, entrepreneurship and technology transfer. You will find us in Barcelona (08039), Plaça Pau Vila, nº 1, floor 2C (Edifici Palau de Mar) and our CIF is B-66475989.

This current Privacy Policy is applicable to all services hosted in the Site as well as to pages that, now or in the future, are deployed as a result of your browsing or deriving from it, except those that redirect you to specific web pages, which will be governed by their respective privacy policies.

The use of this Site makes you “user” of it, which means that, in addition to accepting the sending of commercial communications by electronic means in the terms that we advanced at the beginning, you accept all the conditions included in this Privacy Policy.

The services of this Site are only available during the time you are connected to the Site or to those pages that provide those services. Therefore, you should carefully read this Privacy Policy each time you access the Site. If you accept it, you give us your consent so that we can make changes directly to the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use without the need to inform you. In any case, we will try to keep you informed of any changes we make to this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use in order to preserve your rights as a user. This Privacy Policy will help you to get familiar with the type of data we collect, for which purposes we treat such data, which are your rights and obligations with respect to the Site and how we keep your data out of the reach of unauthorized third parties.

 

1. Type of data that we collect

Within this Site we collect your data through two sources:

  1. Newsletter Form, in which we ask you to provide only your email address.
  1. Submission Form, in which we ask you to provide only professional contact information (your name, the company where you work, your position in that company and your corporate email).

This Site hosts the entire submission process of its Calls for Proposals through which d-LAB launches societal challenges. Each Call for Proposals is governed by its own Terms & Conditions.

Remember that those fields marked with a (*) must be filled so that we can validate your registration and treat your data in an appropriate manner.

We do not ask for data that is considered sensitive data under the current legislation.

 

2. Purposes for which we collect your data

2.1 Newsletter Form

As stated, we can obtain your data within the Site through the “Newsletter Form” in order to be able to contact you, answer any questions or suggestions you send us and to send you commercial communications by electronic means with respect to initiatives, programmes, events or activities of Fundació Barcelona Mobile World Capital Foundation and Barcelona Mobile Ventures, S.L., an affiliate of the Foundation. If you do not wish to receive such commercial communications from Barcelona Mobile Ventures, S.L., please send us an e-mail to legal@mobileworldcapital.com.

At any time, you will be entitled to revoke your consent for the use of your data for the purposes stated on the previous paragraph by selecting the ‘unsubscribe’ button that you will find at the bottom of our information emails.

Your data will be included in a file called “Contacts” (hereinafter, “the File”), duly registered with the Spanish Data Protection Agency. This filing system fulfils the statutory requirements laid down in the LOPD, and also the technical requirements and organizational measures set forth in the Royal Decree 1720/2007, of December 21, that implements the LOPD, in order to safeguard the security of the data you provide.

The purpose of storing your data corresponds to the need to manage our relationship with you, inform you of our activities, initiatives or programmes, as well as answering your questions, doubts or suggestions, send you commercial communications by electronic means, evaluate actions for improvement and lastly, to offer you a quality service.

When providing your data through the Newsletter Form, you are giving us your consent to store your data in our filing system.

2.2 Submission Form

The data you provide us on the Submission Form will be used to manage the Calls for Proposals through which d-LAB launches societal challenges. This data will be treated for the evaluation, selection and public recognition of the proposal you submit to d-LAB on behalf of your company or entity, as specified in the Terms & Conditions of each Call for Proposals.

Likewise, we may send you commercial communications by electronic means with respect to initiatives, programmes, events or activities of Fundació Barcelona Mobile World Capital Foundation and Barcelona Mobile Ventures, S.L., an affiliate of the Foundation. If you do not wish to receive such commercial communications from Barcelona Mobile Ventures, S.L., please send us an e-mail to legal@mobileworldcapital.com. At any time, you will be entitled to revoke your consent for the use of your data for the purposes stated in this paragraph by selecting the ‘unsubscribe’ button that you will find at the bottom of our information emails.

 

3. Additional information

One way of collecting additional information about your visits to our Site, such as the most visited pages or the services that receive the most attention, is by registering your device’s IP address or protocol.

This IP protocol is a number that it is automatically assigned to your device each time you browse. Any web page you access, immediately detects the presence of your device via your IP address. When you access any of our pages, your IP address is stored automatically. The sole purpose of collecting this information is to prepare statistics on the visits to our Site which enables us to track how our service is working and improve it daily.

 

4. Use of cookies

We may use cookies when providing the Site service. Cookies are automatic data collection processes that take into account your preferences when you visit a particular web site. This information is recorded on small files that are stored on your device and are imperceptible. Each time you go back to the web site these files are automatically activated and the site tailors the information to the preferences indicated on previous visits. In this regard, the Site uses first-party cookies to track visitor interactions through the collection of certain navigation data. The abovementioned cookies are used to in order to improve the services offered and to provide a more rapid and comfortable access to the use of the Site. 5. User rights

You may access to the data stored on our filing systems at any time, and may access, rectify, cancel or object to that data (“ARCO Rights”).

In all cases, you must provide evidence of your identity with a photocopy of your valid ID document or passport in order to exercise your ARCO Rights. These rights have the following specific contents:

  • You may request and obtain free of charge information about your processed personal data, its origin (which in our case will always be the forms on the Site) and communications that may affect that data.
  • MWCB is released from any liability in the event that the request to be shown or have data corrected is made from the e-mail address included on the query form and the above-mentioned ID documents are included, since in such an event it is the data subject who will be deemed to be making the query.
  • You may request the rectification or cancellation of your data, which will be carried out by MWCB within up to ten (10) days. Cancellation entails that your data will be blocked and only stored in case it is requested by the public authorities or judges and courts.

MWCB accepts its liability and warrants that it will comply with the duty of secrecy incumbent on it in relation to all the data supplied.

 

6. End of processing

If, for any reason, MWCB ultimately stops providing its services through the Site, it will destroy all the stored data in order to maintain the security of the data supplied and bring them into line with their purpose.

 

7. Changes to the Privacy Policy

You will be notified of any changes to the Privacy Policy via the “Privacy Policy” section of the homepage of the Site, and they will be applicable from the effective publication in same.

MWCB reserves the right to amend, update or adapt this Privacy Policy to any changes in the legislation or in the interpretation by the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

 

8. Applicable legislation and jurisdiction

For the resolution of all disputes or questions relating the use of this Site or activities developed therein, the parties expressly submit themselves to the Spanish Law and to the competence and jurisdiction of the Courts of Barcelona.
